First Pilates Session

I lived through my first Pilates Session.



Honestly, I have to tell you, I think I am going to like this thing. Suzy, my trainer, is amazing. She is so patient and helpful...you can tell she really cares about you and about you doing the exercises right in order to get maximum results.



At this first session, Suzy took a general health history, took measurements, accessed my posture and muscular structure...and probably a lot of other things. The most important thing I think Suzy did was ask about my goals...she was interested in ME, in what MY goals are. I can't say that was ever a concern with other trainers I worked with - other trainers looked at me and decided what I needed rather than listening to me about why I came to them in the first place.



WHAT I LEARNED


  • Breathing correctly can be hard

  • I need to get a good sports bra

I feel thinner already! Stay tuned for session 2!

Breathing correctly is very difficult in the gym.. the tendency is to want to hold your breath.

And yes, most definitely need a good, comfortable, BREATHABLE sports bra in the gym... absolutely.
